CONTEXT:

A senior business analyst and consultant working within the supply chain for a British retailer with a global reach.

 

CHALLENGE:

This client presented three challenges, which is common when working with communication development. They wanted to grow a commanding presentation style, particularly when presenting detail, understand and leverage cultural differences, and develop strategies for dealing with nervousness around public speaking.

 

OUTCOME:

This programme gave the client the opportunity to see and experience themselves and their challenges in new ways. In choosing the tools and techniques that would serve them and their style, they were able to deliver presentations with full stakeholder engagement and participation. Their growing confidence and ownership allowed them to voice concerns and express contrary opinions, benefiting departmental aims and creating personal visibility.  

In exploring cross-cultural communication and growing an understanding of how to leverage this, the client was able to model curiosity and boundary crossing. Such outcomes are at the heart of inclusivity and empowerment.
